The treatment includes specific sequence of physical exercises, movements of the torso, arms, eyes and mouth in each session.
The method also uses the automatic reflexes of mouth breathing, sucking, chewing and swallowing.
Every movement made in the exercises of the Neurofunctional Reorganization creates peripheral proprioceptive impulses from the muscles, tendons and joints that mobilise specific areas of the brain that contribute to its reorganisation and maturation.
Experienced therapists assess the patient's condition, determine the evolutionary stage the patient is in, and treatment begins to be applied one evolutionary stage before the patient is in.
